British Standard National Hive Stand

Description

This is manufactured from premium grade planed all round Scandinavian Red wood and consists of the following components.

Rails: There are four rails that are horizontal and allow the hive base to sit on, made from 75x20mm. The landing board is fixed at 45 degree angle to the side rails, made from 100x20mm.

The legs are rebated to allow half the side rail thickness let into them, made from 50x50mm. This rebate is at a 10 degrees angle, this means the legs of the stand are not perpendicular to the rails and are slightly splayed outward. This gives our stand superb stability.

All joints are glued using exterior glue and nailed accordingly, giving the stand great strength.

Base support guides are made from galvanised steel and formed to give a folded safety edge, are nailed to the top of the side rails of the stand. They will prevent any movement of the hive base.

We have tested this stand with over 150 kg of weight for a period of 24 hours with no damage.

This stand is truly a superb addition to an Apiary.
